About Us
Doug has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems as well as several Microsoft certifications and works in the field of Information Technology. However, Reiki is his true passion and something he greatly enjoys sharing with others.
Doug has been working with Reiki since 1986 when it was virtually unheard of. He received his first Level 1 certificate in 1986 and his first Level 2 certificate in 1987 from Dr. Patrick Tersigni with the American International Reiki Association (now called The Radiance Technique International Association). In 1996 he received his first Master Teacher certificate from Audrey Ann Lowrie through The Colour Institute of Canada.
After practicing and teaching for several years Doug decided to re-certify through a single organization. To this end he acquired all his certificates again, receiving his second Level 1 and Level 2 certificates in 2001 and his certificates for Advanced Reiki Training (ART) and Master Teacher in 2005 with Kathie Lipinski, who at that time was a certified instructor with the International Center for Reiki Training.
To further his knowledge and education in Reiki, Doug attended Shoden and Okuden (Level 1 & 2) training in Jikiden Reiki with Frank Arjava Petter in May of 2015.
Doug started Inner Heart Pathways as his private practice and enjoys passing on and sharing the Reiki traditions that have been entrusted to him. He is currently working toward attaining Shihan Kaku (Assistant Teacher) level in Jikiden Reiki. He is available for treatments or classes upon request.
